Air France has launched a range of wifi passes for its connected aircraft, as it moves towards equipping its entire fleet by the end of 2020.
The Air France Connect service is available in three passes:
A free messaging pass allowing passengers to send and receive Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, iMessage and WeChat messages on their smartphone or tablet.
A Surf pass enabling customers to browse the internet and send emails, starting from €3 for short-haul flights, €5 for medium-haul services, and either €8 for one-hour on long-haul flights, or €18 for the length of a long-haul flight. Note that the last two options can also be paid for in miles at a rate of 2,700 miles or 6,000 mile respectively.
A Stream pass, providing passengers with a high-speed connection for streaming and downloading, and costing €30 or 10,000 miles.
