AirAsia suspends New Zealand service

AirAsia has announced it's stopping its Auckland-Gold Coast route from February 11, 2019. Around 2000 Kiwis are said to be affected by the Malaysia-based airline's move, with full refunds among the solutions offered.

The cancelled flights are the result of a "periodic network review aimed at improving operational efficiency", says AirAsia. Between January 29 and February 11, AirAsia flights to and from Auckland will be reduced from daily to four times per week, before they're completely suspended.
