Etihad Airways and Carriage of Infants

For travel effective 1 August 2018, guests travelling with more than one Infant will require an additional adult to accompany each travelling infant. Each infant carried on board must be accompanied by an adult, or in other words one adult is permitted to accompany only one infant. This is a GCAA safety requirement.

For any additional infant, the guardian must arrange for an additional adult to accompany each infant. The adult can buy an additional seat at the child fare for the second infant but will still require another adult to take care of the infant.

Bassinets
Bassinets are carried in limited quantities on Etihad Airways aircraft and can accommodate infants up to a maximum weight of 11kgs (24lbs) on the day of travel. The infant must not exceed 11kg and must fit comfortably in the baby bassinet.

At the time of check-in, if the infant is found to be over 11kgs, the BSCT request will be removed and guest will be advised. All guests with BSCT requests will be advised that cabin crew will check onboard to confirm the bassinet can be used safely.

Dimensions of a baby bassinet:
Length - 29 inches
Width - 13 inches
Height - 8.5 inches

Note:
Guests must request for a bassinet at least 24 hours before departure.

Note : The above information is as per the mail circular received from Etihad Airways dated 5th Aug, 2018
