Dubai: Budget carrier flydubai will operate flights between Dubai and Zagreb in Croatia, taking over the operations temporarily from its partner Emirates airline. Emirates said on Monday that flights between the two cities from December 2 to March 30, 2019 will be operated by flydubai, after which they will be operated by Emirates again. The carrier said the move will ensure maximising frequencies in the winter.
"The move will ensure that capacity is deployed to best serve customer demand by maximising the frequency for passengers during the winter season," Emirates said in its statement.
Flydubai will operate the route with its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, in a two-class configuration. Emirates currently operates the route in a three-class configuration, and using a Boeing 777 aircraft, according to its website.
