Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways has introduced seat selection fees on economy class flights, the airline announced on Sunday. As a part of the new policy - which comes into effect today (July 15) - customers will be able to reserve standard seats for a small fee up to 24 hours prior to their departure on Etihad's Economy Deal, Saver and Classic fare types.

Salam Air to add extra flight due to high passenger demand

Budget airline SalamAir has announced that it is set to add a third flight between Muscat and Shiraz. The airline said in an announcement "In response to our guests' demand, we are adding a 3rd flight to our Muscat-Shiraz route."

The additional flight will be on Sundays, with SalamAir presently operating the route on Tuesdays and Fridays. Flights depart Muscat at 1:15 pm, arriving in Shiraz at 3:15pm. The flight from Shiraz leaves at 4pm, arriving in Muscat at 5:05pm.

Dubai International welcomed 36.9 million passengers during the first five months of 2018, according to the monthly traffic report issued by operator Dubai Airports.

Singapore Airlines has launched its new regional business class seats on a daily Boeing 787-10 flight from Perth, and expects other Australian flights to follow suit as the airline upgrades its medium-range fleet.

This includes not only the Boeing 787-10 but a tranche of Airbus A350 jets due from the second half of 2019 and featuring the same business class and economy seats as the Dreamliner, although these will lack the premium economy cabin of the first wave of A350-900s.

Mumbai: Jet Airways on Wednesday said it has signed a new order for 75 more Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, taking the total order for such aircraft to 150.
Jet, which has 120 aircraft-comprising of Boeing 777-300 ERs, Airbus A330-300, Boeing 737s and ATR 72-500/600s-had in 2015 placed order for 75 Boeing 737 MAX airplanes.

Air India Express operates daily flights to Kochi and from April 18 to May 30 will add services on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
