Etihad Airways launches flights to Osaka

Etihad will launch flights to Osaka in Japan from October. The national airline of the UAE is expanding its network by adding its first non-stop flights to the hub city of Japan's Kansai region.

Osaka will be the airline’s second destination in Japan, after Tokyo, which the airline has been flying to for 13 years. From October 1, Etihad will run five weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to Osaka using its Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

IndiGo said it has inducted a second wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft in its fleet, which it will operate on the Mumbai-Istanbul route.

After operating a narrow-body Airbus fleet, in single-class configuration for over 16 years, the Gurugram-based IndiGo commenced twin-aisle aircraft operations earlier this year with one B777 on the Delhi-Istanbul route, wet leased from Turkish Airlines.

IndiGo has a codeshare pact with Turkish Airlines among several other carriers.

Emirates increases flights across the GCC and Middle East ahead of Eid Al Fitr

Emirates will be expanding its schedule this week to offer 38 additional flights across six cities in the GCC and Middle East to meet significant demand for Eid Al Fitr holiday travel. This year, more than 110,000 travellers are expected to board Emirates flights during Eid Al Fitr across the region, with additional flights planned for Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, Kuwait and Beirut.
