Qatar Airways Signs Deal with Shell for Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supply at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

Qatar Airways has signed a deal with Shell to source 3,000 metric tonnes of neat Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) at Amsterdam Schiphol airport. It encompasses the existing jet fuel contract with Shell at Amsterdam which will now see Qatar Airways using at least a 5 per cent SAF blend over the contract period for the fiscal year 2023-2024. The Qatar Airways bilateral agreement with Shell is part of a wider effort initiated by the oneworld alliance, which has a set target of using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for 10% of combined fuel volumes by 2030.

Qatar Airways is the first carrier in the Middle East and Africa to procure a large SAF amount in Europe beyond government SAF mandates. SAF offers significant potential for decarbonisation as neat SAF can reduce full lifecycle emissions by up to 80% compared to conventional jet fuel.This means that Qatar Airways will be reducing its emissions on flights from Amsterdam by approximately 7,500 tonnes of CO2 for the fiscal year.

To change the overall look of your document, choose new Theme elements on the Page Layout tab. To change the looks available in the Quick Style gallery, use the Change Current Quick Style Set command. Both the Themes gallery and the Quick Styles gallery provide reset commands so that you can always restore the look of your document to the original contained in your current template.

On the Insert tab, the galleries include items that are designed to coordinate with the overall look of your document. You can use these galleries to insert tables, headers, footers, lists, cover pages, and other document building blocks. When you create pictures, charts, or diagrams, they also coordinate with your current document look.

You can easily change the formatting of selected text in the document text by choosing a look for the selected text from the Quick Styles gallery on the Home tab. You can also format text directly by using the other controls on the Home tab. Most controls offer a choice of using the look from the current theme or using a format that you specify directly.

Team majan celebrated the 48th Oman National Day

On the occasion of 48th National Day, Team majan conducted celebrations at their office with great zeal and enthusiasm.
To mark the birth date of our beloved leader His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and to highlight the thoughts of His Majesty the Sultan and his care for the citizens, an ‘Inter Department Decoration’ Competition was organised that brought the fragrance of Omani culture. The staff showered their love and loyalty to Oman and took pride in the country’s achievements by decorating their respective departments in the most traditional way. They brought a new vision to the event by wearing Omani Traditional attire which portrayed Oman’s glory, pride and progression. The traditional song performances by the staff further showcased Oman values and art.

Shahas Haneef wished His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani citizens on the joyous occasion of National Day. He emphasised the great strides Oman as a country has achieved under the wise and visionary leadership of His Majesty the Sultan. He congratulated the majan staff on the spirited event conducted for honouring the National Day.

The occasion was commemorated with cake cutting in presence of the entire majan staff. The team also took the opportunity to remember the various developments seen in the country under the leadership and guidance of His Majesty the Sultan.

During the celebrations, they prayed to the Almighty for the continued health of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

The team also took the opportunity to remember the various developments seen in the country under the wise leadership and guidance of His Majesty the Sultan.

Shahas Haneef, General Manager, Majan Travel, wished the gathering and spoke about the progress achieved by the nation under the wise counsel of His Majesty the Sultan. He further emphasised that every individual should put in their maximum effort in the march of the country’s progress and also involve themselves as valued partners in the economic development of this great nation
